El COLECTIVO se formó como resultado de un debate público y abierto entre artistas visuales de la comunidad dominicana en Washington Heights, New York para promover, apoyar y desarrollar las artes visuales y servir de suporte técnico y profesional a los y las artistas en el Estado de New York y otros lugares de Estados Unidos.

Nuestros objetivos incluyen estimular la actividad artística y el aprecio de las artes visuales en la comunidad en general, con el propósito de expandir horizontes y enriquecer la experiencia artística de la misma.

EL COLECTIVO también busca contribuir con el desarrollo social, cultural y económico de sus miembros y la comunidad. EL COLECTIVO establecerá objetivos artísticos comunes, pero cada artista miembro tiene el derecho de establecer sus propios objetivos artísticos y metas personales dentro de su disciplina de trabajo.

OBJECTIVES:

The Collective was formed as a result of open public debate between Dominican visual artists in the community of Washington Heights, New York, to promote, support and develop the visual arts and serve as technical support and professional service to the artists in the State of New York and other U.S. locations.

Our objectives also include stimulating artistic activity and appreciation of the visual arts in the community at large, in order to expand its horizons and enrich its artistic experience.

The COLLECTIVE also seeks to contribute to social, cultural and economic development of its members and the community. The COLLECTIVE will establish common artistic goals, but each member has the right to form his/her own artistic and personal goals within their field of work.
